Choose surface protection for spills, splashes and the environment. Wet areas and rooftops need the correct complete system and detailing.

INCISE / PRIMERS & SEALERS
The right foundation. The right final layer. Discover the primers and sealers that complete your INCISE decorative surface system.
SURFACE PROTECTION
Decorative mineral surfaces have a porous character. The right preparation and compatible sealing system help protect the finish while keeping the appearance you selected.
Choose surface protection for spills, splashes and the environment. Wet areas and rooftops need the correct complete system and detailing.
Matt, satin, gloss or a natural penetrating treatment: select the final appearance on a sample of the complete finish.
Traffic, cleaning and maintenance matter. A quiet feature wall and a busy commercial floor call for different specifications.
A BEAUTIFUL FINISH IS A COMPLETE SYSTEM
A floor has to live with footsteps. A kitchen meets daily spills. An exterior faces changing weather. The finish you choose is only part of the story. Preparation and protection help make the whole surface work for its setting.
Primers form the connection between a prepared substrate and the next layer. The choice depends on the surface, its condition and the decorative system being applied.
Sealers provide the final protective layer where the system requires one. Choose for the finish, the environment, the desired appearance and the way the space will be used.
FROM THE SUBSTRATE UP
Assess the substrate and repair suitable cracks before the primer and decorative layers. Densify concrete or colour hardener where the specified system calls for it. Then choose the final protective treatment for the finish and its use.

WHAT GOES WHERE
Start with the area and finish. Then choose the preparation and protection that belong with it.
| Surface or application | Preparation | Protection |
|---|---|---|
| Cracks & hairline cracks in concrete | INCISE Crack Sealer — two-component epoxy | Repair suitable cracks before the specified primer and decorative finish. Assess the cause and any ongoing movement first. |
| Concrete & colour hardener densification | INCISE Strong — hybrid lithium silicate densifier | Designed to strengthen concrete and densify colour hardener surfaces. Densification is a separate step from primer and sealer selection. |
| Microcement & epoxy floors | INCISE Epoxy Primer | For INCISE floors: PU Sealer for light–medium traffic; Ultra Guard for residential/commercial use; Rapid Shield for demanding or industrial use. Confirm the sealer specification separately for epoxy finishes. |
| Walls: Wallcrete, Microtopping Walls & Cemwash | INCISE Primer X WB, as specified | WB Sealer for indoor/outdoor walls. PU Sealer is an alternative for wall systems requiring its specification. |
| Metallic walls | INCISE Metallic Primer | WB Sealer for indoor/outdoor walls; confirm the complete Metallic system. |
| Surface or moisture challenges | INCISE Primer ST, subject to substrate assessment | Select the sealer for the decorative finish and use above it. Moisture tolerance does not replace moisture assessment. |
| Concrete preparation or sealing | INCISE Concrete Sealer, where specified | Can also be used to seal concrete. Confirm whether the project calls for direct concrete sealing or preparation for another finish. |
| Outdoor floors, rooftops & industrial areas | Select the primer for the substrate and chosen floor system | Rapid Shield for these settings; Ultra Guard for residential/commercial floor applications; PU Sealer for light–medium traffic. Confirm rooftop waterproofing and detailing separately. |
Use this as a selection guide. Confirm the complete build-up, substrate condition and current technical instructions before application. Floor sealers are not automatically suitable for permanently immersed swimming pool surfaces.
Tell us whether it is concrete, plaster or another existing surface. Its condition, preparation and moisture exposure guide the first step.
Microtopping, Wallcrete, Cemwash, Metallic or an outdoor floor: each needs a supporting system selected for that product.
Indoor or outdoor. A quiet home or a busy commercial setting. Water exposure, traffic, appearance and maintenance all inform the sealer selection.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
No. The primer, decorative layers and sealer should be selected together. Follow the current product specification for your finish and substrate.
A sealer is one part of the system. Wet areas may also require appropriate waterproofing, detailing and a decorative finish suitable for that use. Confirm the full build-up before application.
A sealer can influence colour depth, sheen and the feel of the surface. Review a sample made with the complete specified system before confirming the final appearance.
Request the current technical datasheet for the selected product. Confirm preparation, mixing, coverage, recoat times and curing conditions before work begins.
