We believe the spaces we live in should reflect the lives we want to build. And the people who help create them should have the opportunity to build better lives of their own.
We believed there could be a better way. And we were bold enough to believe we could help create it.
Before there was a product, there was a possibility.
Our story began with years of working on floors across Uganda. Cleaning them, restoring them, installing them, and learning what happens to a surface long after the work is finished.
We saw how much people invested in their spaces. We also saw the disappointment when the result fell short: a finish that did not last, workmanship that let the design down, or something beautiful that felt out of reach.
During the pandemic lockdown, clients were asking for microcement while disrupted supply chains made it difficult to find. We began exploring how to create it here, drawing on our experience and working with others who brought the knowledge we needed.
In those early days, photographs helped us show people what might be possible. Before we had an established range, we had conversations, an idea and customers willing to believe in it.
Their trust gave INCISE its beginning. It still gives our work its meaning.

From the beginning, we understood that a beautiful material needed skilled hands. We also saw an opportunity to make that skill available to more people.
The INCISE Academy has now trained more than 700 people across Uganda and Kenya.
Through practical training and continued learning, we help applicators develop their craft, understand their materials and take pride in the details of their work. Our ambition is for that knowledge to open doors: to better work, stronger businesses and a profession people are proud to belong to.
For our customers, that investment supports better craftsmanship. For the people learning, it can become something they carry into every project that follows.

Built by people who believed.
INCISE began with people who brought different strengths to the same belief: deep knowledge of surfaces, a passion for the built environment, the discipline to turn an idea into an operation, and the conviction to carry a new name into a market that barely knew it.
Some of the people who gave us that early courage are no longer with us. Their belief remains part of what we build and how we choose to build it.
From the beginning, the ambition was to create something whose impact could be felt in other people’s lives. We measure that ambition in the confidence of our teams, the quality of what we make, the opportunities our craft opens and the spaces our customers are proud to inhabit.
Customers, technical collaborators, partners and a growing team have all helped turn that belief into a business. Its future belongs to the people who keep moving it forward.

INCISE began in Uganda and is growing across East Africa. Our roots give us a point of view; our ambition reaches across Africa and beyond.
We believe an African brand can help shape how the world thinks about beautiful spaces. Through original thinking, skilled hands and the discipline to keep improving, we want to create work that earns its place anywhere.
