Turn skill into opportunity

Become the specialist
clients seek out.

Premium finishes create room to compete on skill, judgement and the quality of the result. INCISE Academy helps you build the technical foundation to make that opportunity your own.

01 / Grow your earning potential

Offer more valuable work.

Specialist finishes can open the door to higher-value projects in homes, hospitality and commercial spaces. Learn to deliver and explain the value of your work, instead of competing only on the lowest labour price.

02 / Build your own team

Grow beyond your own hands.

Develop the understanding to organise a crew, assign work and hold a consistent standard. Your next step could be leading the people who deliver the finish, as well as applying it yourself.

03 / Build your professional name

Let your work introduce you.

Build a portfolio around the projects you complete. Use your skills with INCISE systems to strengthen your own business identity, earn client confidence and give people a reason to recommend you.

Higher-value work brings higher expectations. Earnings depend on your market, pricing, costs and execution; training does not guarantee income or project allocations.

Your craft. Your business.

A better finish should also mean a better-run job.

A higher quotation is only part of the picture. A professional applicator understands what the work will cost, how the team will deliver it and where profit can be lost.

  • 01
Price the complete job: preparation, materials, labour, equipment and protection.
  • 02
Plan the work around the system’s drying and curing requirements.
  • 03
Reduce avoidable waste, defects and repeat visits.
  • 04
Build client trust through samples, clear communication and reliable handover.

The INCISE standard

Earn the confidence.
Then carry the name.

Becoming an INCISE Certified Applicator means demonstrating how to work with the systems covered by your certification. It asks for technical understanding, safe practice, consistency and the discipline to follow the process.

Attendance is a beginning. Competence has to be demonstrated.

01

Understand.

Build your foundation in products, surfaces, tools, safety and the reasons behind each stage. Learn to make sound decisions before a decorative coat is applied.

02

Practise. Refine.

Work through practical application, sample panels and defect correction. Learn from feedback and repeat the work until you can demonstrate control.

03

Demonstrate.

Progress through the relevant assessments and supervised application requirements. Certification is awarded against INCISE’s requirements for the selected programme.

Ask for the current programme scope, assessment criteria, certification validity and renewal requirements before enrolling. INCISE certification relates to its systems; it is not an automatic licence to practise in every country.

Rigorous. Practical. Built around the work.

Learn the finish.
Understand the whole job.

Choose a training focus below to explore the skills. The exact modules and products depend on your programme.

Training focus / 01

Start with the surface

Confidence begins below the finish.

What you work towards
Recognise a suitable base and explain what must be corrected before application.

  • Assess substrates, moisture and curing conditions.
  • Identify cracks, weak areas and defects before coating.
  • Choose the preparation method, primer and tools for the specified system.
  • Work safely and understand when to stop and ask for technical guidance.

Clear answers. A stronger start.

Do I need experience?

The certification pathway is intended for people with relevant construction or application experience, basic literacy and numeracy, and a commitment to safety and following systems. If you are new to the trade, describe your background so the team can advise on a suitable starting point.

How long is the programme, and what does it cost?

Duration, fees, venue and included materials depend on the selected programme. Ask for the current cohort details and assessment requirements before paying or booking travel.

Will I receive a certificate just for attending?

Attendance alone does not establish competence. Confirm the assessment and supervised application requirements for your programme, and the distinction between course completion and INCISE applicator certification.

Can I trade under my own business name?

You can build your own professional business applying INCISE systems. Describe the products you use and your current certification accurately. Use of INCISE logos, partner titles or authorised-applicator branding requires the relevant approval.

Will INCISE give me jobs or guarantee higher earnings?

No automatic project allocation or income is promised. Specialist skills can strengthen your offer, but winning work and earning a profit also depend on your portfolio, market, pricing, sales effort and delivery.

Can I join from another country?

Yes, you can enquire from anywhere in Africa. Confirm programme availability, training location, entry requirements and product supply for your market with the Academy team before arranging travel.
