A premium wall finish depends on what lies beneath it. Substrate preparation, wet-area waterproofing, controlled application and protective sealing work together to create a surface that looks considered and performs in its setting.
Prepare & detail
Assess the wall and prepare a sound, stable substrate. In bathrooms and shower areas, specify the required waterproofing and detail corners, penetrations and movement joints before the decorative finish.
Build the mineral finish
Apply the specified primer and Microtopping layers. Develop the chosen colour, texture and trowel movement with a trained applicator, using an approved sample panel as the design reference.
Seal & protect
Allow the material to cure and apply the specified protective sealer. Confirm the curing period, cleaning guidance and maintenance schedule before the wall enters everyday or wet-area use.

Can Microtopping be used on bathroom and shower walls?
Yes. Microtopping can be specified for bathroom, shower and other wet-area walls as part of a suitable complete system. The substrate, waterproofing, junctions, penetrations, decorative layers and protective sealer must be specified and installed for the intended exposure.
Is Microtopping itself a waterproofing layer?
Microtopping provides the decorative surface; it should not be treated as a substitute for required waterproofing. Wet-area performance depends on the complete wall build-up, careful detailing and the specified protective sealer.
Is it suitable for kitchens and hotel interiors?
Yes. It can be specified for kitchen walls and splashbacks, hotel bathrooms, suites and other premium interiors. Discuss moisture, grease, cleaning products and any heat exposure with INCISE so that preparation and protection suit the location.
