INCISE / TOPCRETE / POWER-FLOATED CONCRETE FLOOR FINISH

Built for business. Full of character.

The presence of natural concrete, with a finish made for spaces that work. INCISE Topcrete is applied over a prepared existing concrete surface and finished with a power floating machine, creating robust floors with expressive tonal movement for hotels, warehouses, offices and beyond.

Give existing concrete a new purpose.

A hotel lobby sets the tone before a word is spoken. An office floor brings the whole interior together. A warehouse needs a surface selected around the working day. Topcrete brings natural concrete character to these very different spaces, with a robust finish and a clear architectural identity.

Applied to a suitable existing concrete base, Topcrete is worked and closed with a power floating machine. The finishing process develops the shifts in tone, soft clouding and burnished movement that make concrete so compelling. It also suits residential spaces where a stronger, more industrial aesthetic belongs.

NATURAL CONCRETE / POWER-FLOAT EXPRESSION

Movement you can see. Character you can feel.

Soft grey clouds. Deeper burnished passages. Subtle changes that unfold as the light crosses the floor. Topcrete celebrates the natural patterns of concrete, giving larger areas a richness that comes from the finishing process itself.

The result has visual depth without a decorative pattern imposed on it. Review a representative sample for the overall tone, level of movement and protective finish, then let the material become part of the architecture.

Beyond the visible

The strength of the idea starts with the base.

Topcrete is a surface system over existing concrete. Assess the base, define how the space will be used and coordinate the installation with the operational needs of the building.

01

Assess & prepare the concrete

Check that the concrete is sound, stable and suitable for the proposed system. Assess cracks, moisture, contamination, levels and joints, then complete the specified preparation and priming.

02

Apply & power-float

Apply the specified Topcrete build-up and finish with a power floating machine at the correct stage. Control the working sequence to develop the approved surface character consistently across the space.

03

Protect & plan for use

Allow the system to cure and complete the specified protective treatment. Agree the cleaning routine and reopening plan. For warehouses and industrial areas, confirm loads, wheel traffic, abrasion and any chemical exposure before specification.

Colour & texture

Concrete character. A wider world of colour.

Keep the natural greys of concrete or explore the wider INCISE colour collection. Topcrete can also be specified in our other colour ranges, bringing warm neutrals, earthy tones and more expressive shades to commercial and residential floors.

Whichever colour you choose, the floor keeps its power-floated character: tonal shifts, cloudy movement and burnished detail. Explore the INCISE colour collection, then confirm the selected shade and finish with a physical Topcrete sample.

The INCISE difference

A working floor can still make a statement.

Robust does not have to look ordinary. Topcrete brings the honest character of concrete into spaces where people arrive, meet, work and move. INCISE combines material guidance, sampling and trained applicator support to help you choose a floor that belongs to the business and the building.

Questions worth asking

Before the working day begins.

What is INCISE Topcrete?

INCISE Topcrete is a robust floor finish applied over a suitable prepared existing concrete surface. It is finished with a power floating machine to develop natural concrete colour, cloudy tonal movement and burnished character.

Where can Topcrete be used?

Topcrete can be considered for hotels, offices, warehouses, showrooms, commercial circulation areas, workshops and residential interiors. The specified system must suit the expected traffic, loads, cleaning and exposure.

Can it be applied to an existing concrete floor?

Yes. Existing concrete must be assessed for soundness, stability, moisture, contamination, cracks and joints. Appropriate preparation and any specified priming are completed before the Topcrete finish is applied.

Why does the floor have different tones and patterns?

Natural colour shifts, clouding and burnishing develop through the material and power-floating process. Topcrete is also available in the wider INCISE colour ranges. Confirm your chosen shade and the overall level of movement with a representative physical sample.

Is it suitable for warehouses and industrial floors?

Topcrete can be specified for industrial and warehouse projects following assessment. Confirm point loads, wheel traffic, abrasion, cleaning and chemical exposure with the technical team rather than assuming every industrial use has the same requirements.

How is Topcrete different from Colour Hardener?

Topcrete is applied as a finish over prepared existing concrete and power-floated. Dryshake Colour Hardener is worked into fresh concrete during placement. The construction stage and desired appearance help determine which system to consider.
