Concrete with colour. Floors with purpose.

Give everyday concrete a finish worth noticing. INCISE Colour Hardener is worked into fresh concrete or screed to create a coloured, hard-wearing mineral surface. It brings character to the floor while strengthening the surface people walk, work and live on.

A considered choice when the budget matters. For new floors or a planned fresh screed, the finish is built into the surface as it is placed, making it a practical option for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Choose a smooth, textured or stamped finish to suit the space.

Good design. Practical value.

Your budget has limits. Your floor can still have character.

A warm verandah. A calm living space. A workshop floor ready for the working day. Colour Hardener gives ordinary concrete a more purposeful finish, with mineral colour and a choice of textures.

Hand application allows careful finishing around edges, steps and detailed spaces. Power floating with our machine supports efficient finishing across larger areas. The result is a floor selected for your space, your use and your budget.

Beyond the visible

Worked into concrete. Finished with intent.

The best result begins with the right concrete, the right timing and skilled finishing. Colour Hardener is broadcast onto a fresh surface and worked in before the concrete or screed sets.

01

Place & prepare

Plan the base, levels, falls and movement joints. Place suitable fresh concrete or screed and prepare for dryshake application at the correct stage.

02

Broadcast & work in

Broadcast the hardener evenly and allow it to absorb moisture from the surface. Work it in by hand, then finish by trowel or with our power floating machine as specified.

03

Finish, cure & protect

Choose a smooth or textured finish, or imprint a stamped pattern while the surface remains workable. Complete the specified curing and sealing before the floor enters use.

Questions worth asking

Before you
begin.

What is INCISE Colour Hardener?

INCISE Colour Hardener is a dryshake granolithic mineral surface hardener that colours and strengthens the surface of fresh concrete or suitable fresh screed. It is used for decorative and functional flooring.

Can it be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. Colour Hardener can be specified for residential, commercial and industrial floors, including living spaces, patios, verandahs, courtyards, walkways and workshops. Texture and protection are chosen for the setting.

Is Colour Hardener suitable for a tight budget?

It is an economical option for projects with new concrete or a planned fresh screed. Colour and surface hardening are incorporated during finishing. The overall cost depends on the base, area, finish, labour and sealing.

Can it be hand applied or power floated?

Yes. The dryshake material is broadcast and worked into the fresh surface. Finishing can be carried out by hand trowel or with our power floating machine, depending on access, floor area and the required appearance.

Can it be textured or used for stamped concrete?

Yes. Select a smooth trowelled finish, a textured surface or a stamped-concrete pattern. Stamping is completed while the surface is workable; the texture is specified for its intended use.

Is this the same as microcement?

No. Dryshake Colour Hardener is incorporated into fresh concrete or screed. Microcement is a separate coating system for prepared surfaces. Colour Hardener also has its own dedicated 15-colour palette.
